BORN 1891 DIED 1967 AT THE AGE OF 76, WAS THE FOUNDER OF THE WAH-KUNE STUDIO( THIS NAME" WAH-KUNE" INFERRED STRONG CHINESE, WAS CHOSEN AS A NAME AS ADVISED TO HIM BY SOME OF HIS STUDENTS AT THE TIME( circa early 1930's) then LATER (EARLY 1950'S) CHANGED THE STUDIO NAME BACK TO HUNG SING GOON THE ORIGINAL NAME AFTER FINDING OUT THAT THROUGH OUT ASIA THEY USED HUNG SING WHICH WAS WRITTEN WITH THE SAME CHINESE CHARACTERS AS IS THE NAME OF OUR FOUNDER. HE HAD MANY WELL VERSED STUDENTS THE MOST PROMINENT BEING JEW,LEONG WHO SUCCEEDED HIM AFTER PROFESSOR LAU PASSED ON IN 1967.Professor Lau Bun was a highly respected Martial Arts Teacher in his lifetime and the only one around at that time, he would even be called upon at times settle disputes between individuals of the community, also as was the need at the time, he was an Herbalist .
